RFID technology: the future of traceability

An RFID tag on every manifold links batch, production date, multilingual datasheets and manuals, and integrates with automated warehouses.

Simplex Hydronic Technology has chosen to invest in RFID technology to improve the traceability and efficiency of its products.

A custom RFID tag has been developed and integrated, applicable to every manifold. Inside is a microchip able to store and transmit data contactless, with advanced features designed to simplify the customer experience and add value to every product even after installation.

One of the main advantages is the ability to uniquely link every product to its production date and batch. In case of a quality check, the entire supply chain can be traced with a simple RFID reader or a compatible smartphone.

The tag is a dynamic, interactive tool: it can hold or link to always-updatable digital resources, including multilingual datasheets, instruction manuals, explanatory videos, links to the customer's website and tailored content. An operator on the other side of the world can thus use the product correctly and access the information.

RFID enables seamless integration with customers' logistics systems: tagged manifolds can be recognised automatically when entering automated warehouses, loading into the management system without manual scans or data entry.

Adopting RFID is a strategic vision oriented to the future of digitalisation in the HVAC and hydronic sector. For Simplex Hydronic Technology, innovating means creating intelligent, connected and customer-focused solutions.
